Documentary Wedding Photography with Panache
I’m a Devon wedding photographer but I operate all over the UK, Europe and beyond.
If you’ve found me it’s because you like natural, un-posed photography. There are several names for this kind of photography including documentary-style, reportage, photojournalism etc. However, they all mean the same thing – the chronicling of events in still image.

Below is a little taster of what I have to offer you as a candid wedding photographer. I shoot each and every frame spontaneously and in the moment, and then give individual care and attention in the post-production processing.
I don’t pose or direct anyone during the events I capture, for the most part my subjects aren’t even aware that I am there. This is the essence of my approach. What I love about candid photography is it shows everyone in their truest and rawest state.

My approach as a wedding photographer.
If they did, my goal has been achieved. I hope you liked what you’ve seen so far and if you’d like to see more, my full portfolio can be found here it includes photos from weddings and events as well as some portraiture work.
I work in a documentary style which means everything I shoot is candid and un-posed, thus capturing the moments from your happy day in its naturalist form. The aim is to make the moments last a lifetime and longer.
On the other hand, I do also offer portraits and group shots as part of my standard wedding package; however these shots are not the focus of my photography.
To keep with the natural and candid style that I use, when it is possible I use natural light to perverse an authentic atmosphere and feel. However, when more drama is required – during the first dance for example – I love to use flash. For a more detailed explanation of my approach, head over to my ‘method‘ page.
I’m a firm believer in working with like-minded people and photographing people who feel comfortable around me. Therefore, I think it’s important that you know a little about me. Get to know me on my ‘about‘ page.
We’re not scary, promise!
